HR Advisor

About the role

The Future Generation Joint Venture is seeking an HR Advisor to support managers and employees on the Snowy 2.0 pumped‑hydro project in the Snowy Mountains, NSW. You will provide accurate, timely HR advice and help embed the project’s culture and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing HR information systems and provide user training.
• Support managers with under‑performance or misconduct issues in line with legislation and project guidelines.
• Maintain monthly organisational charts and generate weekly/monthly HR reports.
• Help develop and roll out the project culture framework and HR initiatives.
• Draft position descriptions, performance development plans, and conduct performance reviews.
• Deliver HR training to managers and staff, and develop related policies and procedures.
• Prepare employment contracts, internal correspondence, and identify emerging workplace issues.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Organisational Psychology or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and experience with HR/IR systems and processes.
• Strong negotiation, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, proactive initiative, and excellent time‑management abilities.
