HR Advisor

About the role

SRG Global is looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to support its HR and Industrial Relations teams across Australia. The role will provide advice, assistance and strategic insight to managers on all HR and employment matters, helping to drive continuous improvement and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support leaders with routine employee relations issues such as performance management, conduct, grievances, fitness for work and absence management.
• Coach supervisors and site leaders on people‑management practices and policy application.
• Escalate complex ER/IR matters to senior HR team members.
• Interpret and apply Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts.
• Assist with Enterprise Agreement negotiations and documentation for Fair Work submissions.
• Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, NES, WHS legislation and industrial instruments.
• Manage project rates, support payroll set‑up, award interpretation and annual increases.
• Participate in investigations, meetings and documentation related to ER matters.
• Maintain accurate employment documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar HR advisory role, preferably within mining, engineering or construction.
• Certificate IV in HR or a related bachelor’s degree (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of current employment relations legislation.
• Excellent administrative, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
