Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Join the Port Douglas team as a Housekeeping Supervisor, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service across hotel rooms and public areas.

Key responsibilities

• Clean hotel rooms, including sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms while maintaining detail standards.
• Delegate workload to ensure rooms are refreshed in a timely manner.
• Control stock, report discrepancies to the Executive Housekeeper and conduct quality checks before releasing rooms to occupancy.
• Plan and implement weekly rosters in consultation with the Housekeeping Manager.
• Respond to guest enquiries and concerns, handling issues to resolution and escalating when necessary.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar hotel housekeeping position.
• Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, including safe chemical handling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Problem‑solving ability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, public and school holidays.
