Hospitality Team Leader - IRT Greenwell Gardens

About the role

IRT is looking for a motivated and dedicated Hospitality Team Leader to oversee the planning, ordering, preparation and compliance of food service, laundry and cleaning operations at IRT Greenwell Gardens. This is a permanent part-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:15 am to 2:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise hospitality employees, including reviewing their performance
• Plan, order and oversee the preparation of all meals and light refreshments, complying with resident dietary requirements
• Keep food safety documentation complete and ensure work practices meet HACCP requirements, with corrective actions completed within set timeframes
• Check that deliveries are received and processed according to the food safety plan
• Monitor the cleaning contractor team so cleaning standards are met
• Ensure hospitality services meet Aged Care Quality Standards and IRT's policies and procedures
• Take part in recruiting, selecting and orienting team members

Required profile

• Certificate III (or higher) in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (or willingness to obtain it)
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care Quality and Food Safety Standards
