Hospitality Assistant – Catering and Housekeeping

About the role

Calvary Bruce Private Hospital is looking for a Hospitality Assistant within its Hospitality Services Division, which covers both the Catering and Housekeeping/Environmental Services departments. You will deliver a high standard of service to patients, guests and staff. The role offers casual opportunities across housekeeping and catering, cross-training, and salary packaging benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Catering: deliver food to patients, clean kitchen and equipment, manage stock rotation, support the chef, and possibly drive between facilities.
• Housekeeping: clean patient rooms and common areas, including offices.

Required profile

• Current ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain it.
• Full driver's licence for the catering position, as driving a hospital buggy is required.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety issues.
• Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively and work unsupervised.
• Commitment to excellent customer service, ethical practice and interpreting MSDS, labels and safe work practices.
• Have, or be willing to obtain, a Certificate II or III in Health Support Services.
