Home Care Employee - Grade Three (Pambula/Eden)

About the role

IRT is looking for a Grade Three Home Care Employee based in the Pambula to Eden area. The role supports IRT home care customers so they can stay in their own homes, maintaining independence and quality of life through personalised care tailored to each person's health, happiness and interests. The position is Monday to Friday with some weekends, hours varying between 7am and 5pm.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care and showering
• Cooking and food preparation
• Transporting customers to appointments and social engagements
• Providing companionship
• Helping customers continue to live well and positively in their own home

Required profile

• Certificate III in Ageing, with at least 500 hours of experience in home care and/or aged care
• Full driver's licence and a fully insured car (international licence holders asked to apply for an Australian licence within 3 months)
• Current First Aid certificate and CPR, or willingness to obtain them
• Available to work weekdays

Required skills

• Relevant Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a second language is a bonus
• Resilience and ability to work independently
• Empathy and a passion for supporting older Australians
