High Risk Trainer Assessor – Mining Operations

About the role

We are seeking a permanent, full‑time High Risk Trainer Assessor to join our training team on a FIFO roster (2:2) based in Perth and travelling to the Gruyere Gold Mine. You will be responsible for delivering and assessing nationally recognised training for high‑risk work licences and heavy mobile equipment across multiple MACA mining sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess high‑risk work licence training and competency for heavy mobile equipment.
• Plan, coordinate and manage training programmes in consultation with project managers and operational stakeholders.
• Ensure all training activities comply with legislation, industry standards, RTO requirements and company policies.
• Maintain accurate training records, assessment documentation and competency matrices.
• Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and reinforcing safe work practices.
• Drive continuous improvement through reviewing outcomes and developing training resources.
• Achieve a minimum of 75% productive time delivering training and assessments.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• At least 5 years’ experience in an open‑pit production mining environment.
• Hands‑on experience operating a range of heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Current WA driver’s licence and High Risk Work Licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
