Helpdesk / IT Support Officer

About the role

Kick‑start your IT career with Peak Solutions as a Helpdesk / IT Support Officer. The position is open to recent graduates, career‑changers and experienced help‑desk professionals, offering full‑time or part‑time work in Matraville, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve user IT support requests via phone, email and ticketing system in a timely manner.
• Provide first‑ and second‑level technical support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Install, configure and maintain end‑user devices such as computers, printers and peripherals.
• Create and manage user accounts and access permissions according to company policies.
• Document support tickets and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance and system updates.
• Maintain IT equipment inventory and asset tracking.
• Support the rollout of new IT systems and solutions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 and cloud‑based systems.
• Technical knowledge for troubleshooting hardware issues such as computers, printers and network connectivity.
