Head of Technologies

About the role

St Augustine's College, a Catholic college for boys (Years 7-12) in the Marist tradition, is recruiting a Head of Department (Technologies) in Cairns. The position is full time, fixed term from 18 January 2027 to 18 January 2030, and carries a substantive permanent teaching role.

Key responsibilities

• Support the school's mission by leading the learning and teaching program
• Implement the curriculum in line with national, state and local requirements
• Develop and implement appropriate pedagogies at all levels
• Monitor the quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through supervision
• Use data analysis to inform decisions
• Build partnerships within and outside the school
• Administer available resources prudently

Required profile

• Registered or eligible to be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Professional qualifications in Education
• Full support for the ethos of Catholic Education

What we offer

• Salary depending on experience, from $86,600 to $144,259 FTE gross per annum, plus a Middle Leader Tier 3 allowance of $19,535 FTE gross per annum
