Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the finance function for a $65M industrial manufacturing and distribution business in Western Sydney, partnering closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive commercial insight, governance and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic decisions, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Deliver monthly flash reporting, management accounts and board reports, and manage statutory reporting and year‑end audit liaison.
• Strengthen governance, financial controls and capital‑expenditure approval processes, including Company Secretary duties.
• Provide commercial insight on profitability, working capital, inventory reporting and foreign‑exchange risk.
• Oversee finance activities across APAC operations and lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification with experience in industrial manufacturing, import/distribution or similar sectors ($50‑100M turnover).
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, working‑capital management and supply‑chain dynamics.
• Proven ability to partner with executives and operational leaders to improve business performance.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash‑flow management.
• Governance mindset with confidence to challenge and drive accountability.

Required skills

• ERP systems experience – preferably Pronto, with exposure to SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards.
• Foreign‑exchange management across multiple currencies.
