Head of Campus - Burdekin Education Program

About the role

Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools is looking for a Head of Campus to join its Burdekin community in January 2027. Each Flexible School has a Head of Campus who holds delegated responsibility from the Area Principal and Regional Director for the day-to-day management and leadership of the campus, providing leadership and supervision to staff and the young people of the community.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and build working relationships with local custodians, schools, government and non-government agencies, private providers and community members.
• Develop and implement learning choices (curriculum) that support the individual learning plans of each young person.
• Take part in program provision to ensure wellbeing in an inclusive learning environment and contribute to a supportive school environment.
• Take part in professional development, which may involve travel to Townsville or Brisbane.
• Contribute to accountability processes, including reporting, individual personal learning plans and NCCD requirements.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary supportive learning team.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex educational, wellbeing, community services or human services environments.
• Leadership in trauma-informed practice and wellbeing support, and in learning and pedagogy.
• Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system in the Edmund Rice tradition.
• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a teacher in the state where the school is located.
• A current Working With Children Check (or eligibility to obtain one).
