Head Chef - Tavern at the Rocks

About the role

The Tavern at the Rocks, located beside the Two Rocks marina with views of the Indian Ocean, is looking for a Head Chef to lead its kitchen. The venue serves lunch and dinner in its main bar, top bar, balcony and beer garden, and the Head Chef leads the kitchen team while working closely with the Publican and the front-of-house team.

Key responsibilities

• Run the kitchen smoothly, safely and profitably
• Work closely with the Publican and the front-of-house team
• Build and grow a high-performing kitchen team
• Maintain strong communication between the kitchen and front of house

Required profile

• Experience, confidence and pride to own the kitchen
• Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications
• Ability to handle and lift stock, kegs and deliveries safely and efficiently
