About the role

Join the brand‑new gym at Somerville Recreation Centre and be the friendly face on the gym floor. You’ll guide members of all fitness levels, ensure a safe environment and help create an exceptional health and wellness experience from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct member inductions and onboarding appointments
• Provide exercise guidance and technique correction
• Deliver small‑group functional training sessions
• Support member retention through exceptional customer service
• Monitor gym floor safety and equipment standards
• Promote fitness programs, challenges and wellness initiatives
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional gym environment
• Work collaboratively with personal trainers, group fitness instructors and the wider centre team
