Group Financial Controller

About the role

Iress is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead financial accounting, treasury and operational finance across the Group. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will manage a team of around 19 professionals and drive finance transformation in a fast‑moving, ASX‑listed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance internal controls, risk‑management frameworks and process automation.
• Support the Head of Group Tax & Financial Control with policy, ARC and Board paper preparation.
• Manage external audit delivery and ensure timely compliance.
• Oversee preparation of annual and half‑year financial reports for Group and APAC subsidiaries under IFRS.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close, owning P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow reporting.
• Direct treasury activities, including cash‑flow forecasting, banking arrangements and risk management.
• Define the finance technology roadmap and drive finance‑system transformation.
• Facilitate internal audits and implement recommendations.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and performance culture for the finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with post‑qualification experience as a Financial Controller in a multinational ASX‑listed company.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) and ability to apply standards to complex issues.
• Deep understanding of end‑to‑end financial risk management and internal‑control frameworks.
• Proven experience in audit coordination and treasury management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead finance transformation and process redesign.
