Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a growing business in Sydney CBD. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the finance function through its next phase of growth, focusing on process improvement, team development, financial control and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team.
• Own month‑end, management reporting and financial control.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Manage statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirements.
• Drive automation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Improve reporting efficiency and quality.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Support strategic projects and future growth initiatives.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Current Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller.
• Proven experience in a complex multi‑entity environment.
• Strong technical accounting, compliance and reporting background.
• Demonstrated track record of improving finance processes, systems and controls.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable leading change and driving accountability within a finance team.
• Commercially minded with a hands‑on approach.
