Group Finance Manager

About the role

Freecity Group is seeking a Group Finance Manager to lead and strengthen its finance function across a diverse portfolio of operating companies, project entities, subsidiaries and trusts. This senior leadership position offers autonomy and broad exposure within a fast‑growing property development and construction business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial management and reporting for the entire Group.
• Ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial information for management and directors.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes, governance and accountability across all entities.
• Manage Group‑level budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and performance analysis.
• Review and validate financial work and reporting for operating companies, project entities, subsidiaries and trusts.
• Coordinate consolidated financial reporting and oversee statutory, taxation and regulatory compliance (ATO, Revenue NSW, ASIC).
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the Finance team.
• Partner with business leaders to support commercial decisions and project performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, controls and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting expertise.
• Proven leadership capability in a finance function.
• Relevant experience in property development, construction or real estate.
• Ability to work across complex organisational structures and multiple entities.
