Graphic Designer & Content Creator

About the role

QinetiQ is seeking a Graphic Designer & Content Creator on a 12‑month parental‑leave cover contract. Reporting to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and working within a small team, you will develop visual and digital content for both internal and external audiences across Adelaide, Canberra or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Provide creative input and practical design advice to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce on‑brand content for digital, print and internal channels.
• Manage end‑to‑end design projects, including graphic design, illustration, photography, video and digital assets.
• Interpret briefs, incorporate feedback and maintain clear communication throughout the process.
• Ensure all content aligns with QinetiQ’s narrative, purpose, vision and brand guidelines.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors when required.

Required profile

• Creative, detail‑oriented professional with strong visual design capabilities.
• Able to translate complex, technical concepts into clear, engaging content.
• Solid understanding of content distribution channels and platform‑specific tailoring.
• Excellent organisational skills; capable of managing multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in graphic design or a related field.
