Grants Lead – Manage and Grow Impactful Grants Program

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Grants Lead to oversee the operational delivery of a high‑impact grants program in the Northern Territory. Reporting to the Grants Manager, you will lead a small team, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead administration and delivery of the grants program, including assessment, agreements, monitoring, compliance and evaluation.
• Provide operational leadership to Grants Officers – workload management, training, mentoring and guidance on complex matters.
• Manage and improve grants systems, processes and procedures to support efficient decision‑making.
• Ensure accurate reporting, governance and compliance with relevant frameworks.
• Engage with stakeholders and support applicants throughout the grants process.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience managing grants programs and grants management systems.
• Proven leadership experience with a small team and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Experience managing contracts across the lifecycle with financial accountability and probity.
• Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people and communities in the Northern Territory.
