Graduate Mechanical Engineer 2027 - Weipa

About the role

Rio Tinto is recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer for its Weipa operations in Far North Queensland, which include three bauxite mines, processing facilities, shiploaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. The program lasts two years and focuses on developing foundational and future-focused skills, with hands-on experience at a large-scale bauxite operation.

Required profile

• Graduate with a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or in the final year of study
• Right to work in Australia or New Zealand (citizens, permanent residents, student or postgraduate work visa holders)
• A current C Class manual driver's licence at the time of commencement
• Less than 2 years of relevant work experience
