Graduate / Junior Software Engineer, Banking Infrastructure

About the role

Kobble is looking for a graduate or junior software engineer to join its banking infrastructure team in Australia. You will work on real‑money systems that power accounts, ledgers and payments for fintechs, neobanks and larger enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain API services that customers integrate with.
• Develop and support the real‑time ledger and transaction records.
• Work on Australian payment rails such as NPP, PayID, PayTo and BECS.
• Contribute to card issuing, digital wallets and stored‑value features.
• Assist with compliance tooling, including transaction monitoring and reporting.
• Write tests, documentation and clean, reviewable code.

Required profile

• A degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic coding ability in TypeScript and a strong interest in learning the rest of the stack.
• Enthusiasm for fintech, payments and financial systems.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Clear communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Melbourne or Brisbane.
