Golang Engineer

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Golang Engineer to join its Melbourne team. You will work on building production‑grade services that support the company’s sustainability‑focused digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Golang‑based services, including gRPC and REST APIs.
• Implement and support ProtoBuf contracts, and integrate with HashiCorp Consul, Nomad and Vault for service discovery, orchestration and secret management.
• Develop RabbitMQ messaging and queueing solutions and optimise database interactions and SQL queries.
• Participate in technical analysis, coding, testing, defect resolution and documentation.
• Use Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence for delivery tracking, support and knowledge management.

Required profile

• Hands‑on Golang development experience.
• Experience with gRPC, REST APIs and Protocol Buffers.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Consul, Nomad and Vault.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ and SQL database query optimisation.
