General Sonographer

About the role

Portland District Health is looking for a suitably qualified general Sonographer to join its Medical Imaging team in Portland. The role is ongoing full time (80 hours per fortnight plus monthly allowance) and suits someone who wants a diverse clinical load. You will work in an acute hospital setting, delivering high-quality diagnostic medical imaging services with compassionate, patient-focused care.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a highly professional multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver high-quality diagnostic medical imaging services with standard 30-minute appointment times.
• Contribute to the team through excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Provide compassionate, holistic patient-focused care.
• Work across sonography and radiography if desired.

Required profile

• Accredited Medical Sonographer with ASAR registration.
• Demonstrates competency and expertise as an all-rounder across breast, general, MSK, obstetrics and vascular imaging.
• Positive, enthusiastic and motivated attitude.
