General Practitioner (Medical Doctor) – Mt Druitt

About the role

Yarning Crescent is launching a new medical centre in Mount Druitt and is seeking a full‑time General Practitioner. The role focuses on delivering culturally safe, patient‑centred care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities while working alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage a broad range of medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists and other clinicians.
• Provide health education to patients, families and community members.
• Maintain accurate, compliant medical records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care‑standard improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to culturally safe, respectful care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Experience with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, Aboriginal Medical Services or similar Indigenous health programs is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of holistic health, including social, emotional and cultural determinants of wellbeing.
• Current registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner in Australia.
• Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM is desirable.
• Experience in primary care, community health, rural/remote health, mental health or Aboriginal health services is a plus.
