About the role

This full‑time, on‑site General Practitioner position at Northpoint Medical in Toowoomba provides comprehensive primary care. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, deliver patient education, and support continuity of care for individuals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations, order and interpret investigations, and prescribe appropriate therapies.
• Coordinate care with nursing and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in preventive health initiatives.
• Deliver patient education and contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
• Support continuity of care and may supervise or train junior clinical staff.

Required profile

• Strong clinical skills in medicine and primary care with experience in family medicine.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ongoing training, professional development and continuing medical education.
• Relevant medical degree and current registration (or eligibility) with the appropriate medical board.
• Current professional indemnity insurance and compliance with clinical standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and documentation skills, culturally sensitive care.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
