About the role

JPS Medical Recruitment is advertising a full-time General Medicine Registrar position in a regional referral hospital in North Queensland. The role sits within a recognised training site in the Queensland General Medicine Advanced Training network and offers broad inpatient and outpatient experience, including complex and multi-system medical presentations. It suits doctors seeking accredited training, mentorship and the possibility of a Workplace-Based Assessment (WBA) pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general medicine care in a busy regional referral setting, with both inpatient and outpatient work
• Manage complex, multi-system medical cases
• Work closely with Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and multidisciplinary teams
• Take part in the AMC-accredited Workplace-Based Assessment program

Required profile

• Relevant General Medicine experience; the role is open to international medical graduates who are currently overseas or already working in Australia
• Eligibility for the WBA pathway depends on individual circumstances
