General Manager, Integrated Performance Marketing

About the role

Lead one of Australia’s largest digital acquisition budgets for the Budget Direct brand, overseeing an elite in‑house team and shaping the future of AI‑led performance marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Hold commercial accountability for a major performance media budget across Paid Search, SEO, GEO, Social and emerging AI‑driven channels.
• Drive the transition from traditional search and SEO to AI‑optimised ecosystems and Generative Engine Optimisation.
• Strategically manage partnerships with Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and OpenAI at the executive level.
• Set strategic direction, risk frameworks and compliance governance for all paid and organic channels in a regulated financial services environment.
• Unify and elevate a team of deep‑channel specialists, removing obstacles and extracting top performance.

Required profile

• Extensive senior marketing leadership experience, preferably at GM, Director or Head level in a large finance or consumer business.
• Proven accountability for a substantial paid digital media investment comparable to this remit.
• Executive‑level experience negotiating and influencing senior leadership and board members.
• Strong governance and risk mindset, ideally from a regulated environment.
• Curiosity and adaptability around AI and emerging channels.
