About the role
The company, a premium Chinese‑owned Australian agribusiness and food supply group, seeks a commercially sharp General Manager to take full operational and P&L ownership of its high‑end Australian asset portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full P&L and financial budget, maximise ROI and navigate cross‑border trade, tariff and quota fluctuations.
- Oversee end‑to‑end logistics and multi‑site operations across premium pastures (Wagyu/Angus beef), orchards and boutique vineyards.
- Lead brand building and expand sales networks across wholesale, retail, catering and e‑commerce channels.
Required profile
- Strong financial literacy with experience constructing operational budgets and implementing cost‑control metrics.
- Minimum eight years of senior management experience in agriculture, fresh produce, meat, livestock, horticulture or international food trade; prior GM role preferred.
- Deep familiarity with China‑Australia import/export environment and excellent cross‑cultural communication; Chinese language skills a plus.

- Competitive base salary AUD 160,000 – 200,000 plus superannuation and profit sharing.
