Gaming Manager - Kirwan Tavern

About the role

Kirwan Tavern is looking for a dedicated, results-driven Gaming Manager to lead one of its premier gaming rooms in the Townsville region. This is a focused, high-impact specialist role for someone who takes pride in room presentation, understands machine mix and operational flow, and sets the standard for exceptional customer service. The manager leads from the front line, fosters a welcoming atmosphere for regulars, maintains full compliance with QLD liquor and gaming regulations and mentors a high-energy host team.

Key responsibilities

• Know the regulars by name and make them feel at home
• Work closely with the Publican to keep the room running smoothly, safely and within the rules
• Share gaming knowledge and help the team deliver the best service
• Maintain absolute compliance across all QLD liquor and gaming regulations
• Handle physical tasks such as moving stock, kegs and deliveries

Required profile

• Experience in the gaming room world as an attendant, supervisor or manager
• Confidence, pride and strong people skills to be the face of the gaming room
• Understanding of compliance and safe gaming
• A current RSA and RSG as per state requirements
• Ability to perform manual handling safely and efficiently
