Full‑time Tiler – On‑site in Perth

About the role

Matrix Tile and Stone is seeking a skilled Tiler to join its on‑site team in Perth. This full‑time position involves preparing surfaces, laying tiles according to design plans, and ensuring high‑quality finishes for both residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and level surfaces, mix and apply adhesives and grout, and cut tiles to fit around fixtures and edges.
• Lay ceramic, mosaic, and marble tiles with precise spacing and alignment, then clean and seal finished areas.
• Read and interpret drawings, collaborate with other trades, and adhere to safety policies.
• Maintain tools and equipment, assist with material planning, and perform quality checks.

Required profile

• Strong tiling experience on wall and floor applications, including commercial and residential projects.
• Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in tiling or wall and floor tiling.
• Reliable work ethic, effective communication, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Ceramic tile installation and cutting.
• Floor and wall tiling, including mosaic and marble patterns.
• Adhesive, grout and sealant application.
• Reading plans and drawings, accurate measurement and material calculation.
