Full‑Stack Web Developer (React/Next.js)

About the role

Word Of Mouth Agency is seeking a full‑time Web Developer to join its creative digital team in Applecross, Perth. You will work on a variety of client projects, building modern, high‑performance web applications and e‑commerce solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop dynamic web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• Integrate front‑end code with headless CMS platforms such as Strapi, Contentful or Sanity.
• Create custom WordPress themes, plugins and headless implementations, as well as custom Shopify themes and Liquid templates.
• Build reusable component‑based architectures and design systems.
• Implement REST and GraphQL API integrations, ensuring fast loading times, SEO optimisation and Core Web Vitals compliance.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, responsive interfaces.
• Manage version control with Git and deploy to Vercel, Netlify or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, back‑end developers and marketing teams, and communicate technical solutions to clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a web designer or developer with a portfolio of work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think creatively.
• Excellent client communication and teamwork skills.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn new technologies and capable of working independently.

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, jQuery
• WordPress (custom themes, plugins, headless)
• Shopify (custom themes, Liquid, Shopify Plus)
• Headless CMS (Strapi, Contentful, Sanity)
• Tailwind CSS, Figma to code translation
• Git, Vercel, Netlify deployment
• REST and GraphQL API integration
• Responsive web design, cross‑browser compatibility
• Basic PHP, MySQL, DNS and WHM/cPanel knowledge
