Full-Time Nanny - The Rocks, NSW

About the role

A warm, loving and active family in The Rocks, NSW is seeking a full-time nanny to join them long term. The family has a 3-year-old and is welcoming a new baby early December; the role will first focus on the 3-year-old and then cover both children. The start date is early December 2026, with possible casual shifts before hand to help with the transition. Pay is from $40 per hour depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Nurturing, attentive care for the 3-year-old and, once the baby arrives, both children
• Planning and organising age-appropriate educational and developmental activities, including arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play and outdoor activities
• Taking the children to playgrounds, classes and other outings
• Supporting routines, meals, snacks and naps, and encouraging independence and curiosity
• Providing gentle but consistent boundaries and keeping the home organised
• Light household help such as tidying the kitchen, loading and unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry, toy rotation and tidying play areas
• Traveling internationally with the family twice a year to Europe, away from home for about 3 weeks at a time

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional childcare experience preferred
• Essential experience with toddlers and newborns/infants
• Childcare qualifications advantageous
• Current Working With Children Check and current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Excellent references
• Strong preference for a full driver's licence
• Ideally no very young children of their own

Required skills

• Comfortable swimming with children
• Ability to plan age-appropriate activities and take initiative
