Full-Time Dental Assistant

About the role

Channel Dental Care is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable full-time Dental Assistant to join its clinical team in Kingston. You will support the dentists and make sure patients receive exceptional care, working alongside a supportive team where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists and clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and set up and pack down rooms between patients
• Prepare instruments, materials and equipment
• Clean, sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment, following strict infection control and sterilisation procedures
• Support patients throughout appointments and give a warm, friendly welcome
• Maintain clean, organised and well-stocked clinical areas
• Assist with stock management and ordering when required
• Support the wider practice team with day-to-day tasks

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and confident with patients
• Reliable, organised and a team player
• Comfortable in a busy clinical environment and calm under pressure
• Willing to learn and develop dental assisting skills
• Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain one
• Previous dental assisting experience is highly regarded
