Full Stack Developer – AWS Serverless (Node.js & React.js)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our fast‑growing fintech team in Melbourne. You will work primarily on AWS serverless back‑end services using Node.js and build modern front‑end experiences with React.js or React Native, while integrating external APIs and supporting DevOps processes.

Key responsibilities

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for low‑latency, high‑availability applications.
• Maintain and develop features of existing RESTful APIs.
• Ensure optimal performance and quality of the application.
• Create technical and API documentation following required standards.
• Collaborate with the team during technical design sessions and sprint planning.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency with Node.js and working knowledge of React.js (or React Native).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS serverless architecture and JavaScript SDKs.
• Familiarity with Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, and AWS VPC/networking.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (preferably DynamoDB) and SQL databases (MySQL, Aurora Serverless).
• Understanding of scalable application design principles.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitHub Actions, CodeCommit, CodePipeline).
