Frontend Developer – Full Stack (React & Node.js) – Melbourne

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Front End Developer to join our Melbourne team on a 6‑month contract. The role focuses on building and strengthening enterprise‑grade web applications using modern technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive front‑end features with React.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers to integrate APIs built on Node.js.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise performance of complex applications.
• Contribute to the design of production‑grade software solutions and ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge on best practices.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in TypeScript.
• Strong experience with React.js.
• Back‑end development expertise using Node.js.
• Full‑stack development and API design.
• Experience with GoLang (preferred).
• Hands‑on with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Temporal Workflow Engine.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, switching).
• Experience with distributed systems and service‑oriented architectures.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Basic knowledge of AWS cloud development.
• Understanding of JSON/YANG data models.
• Experience with containerised and cloud‑native applications.
