Front Office Manager – Hotel Front Desk Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Front Office Manager to lead the front desk team at Mercure Perth on Hay, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will create welcoming experiences for guests and support your team’s development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Front Office team to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Coach and mentor Guest Service Agents and Assistant Managers.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and implement front office policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on projects, reports and hotel initiatives.
• Take on duties beyond the traditional Front Office Manager role to support overall hotel operations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in the hotel industry.
• At least 2 years of Assistant Manager experience, ready for the next step.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera Cloud.
• Guest‑obsessed mindset with ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Leadership qualities and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Availability to work a 7‑day roster, including overnight shifts.
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, Approved Manager and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
