Front End Loader Operator - Townsville

About the role

Protech is recruiting Front End Loader operators in Townsville for a range of ongoing and ad-hoc opportunities with multiple local clients. Work is based locally in Townsville, with ongoing rostered positions mainly in quarry operations, asphalt production plants and concrete batch plants, and ad-hoc work at fertiliser processing sites. Day, afternoon, night and weekend shifts of 4 to 12 hours are available, with immediate start pending site.

Key responsibilities

• Operate front end loaders safely and efficiently
• Load trucks, hoppers, crushers and processing equipment
• Manage stockpiles and move materials
• Feed plant and processing equipment and supply raw materials to concrete and asphalt batch plants
• Assist with batching operations and production requirements
• Carry out pre-start inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment

Required profile

• Current front end loader ticket
• Minimum 12 months of experience operating a front end loader
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Able to pass drug and alcohol screening
• Quarry, production, bulk handling or fertiliser experience highly regarded; concrete batching, asphalt production, quarry, fertiliser handling, production/manufacturing and loader experience with scales also valued

Required skills

• Front end loader operation on CAT, Komatsu or Volvo machinery
• Additional machinery tickets
