Freight Forwarder, Implant Coordinator

About the role

DSV is looking for a motivated Freight Forwarder, Implant Coordinator to become the primary point of contact for clients worldwide. Based in Melbourne, you will collaborate with internal teams and international offices to ensure shipments meet service expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute export, import, domestic, AOG, critical and routine shipments, including collections and final‑mile delivery.
• Monitor inbound, outbound and cross‑trade shipments, ensuring on‑time performance and accurate milestone recording.
• Proactively manage delays, follow up on missing freight or documentation, communicate exceptions to customers and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure customs clearance prior to delivery and support tracing of missing or delayed cargo.
• Respond to customer enquiries, provide shipment status updates and participate in stakeholder meetings.
• Utilise logistics systems such as CargoWise One, Tango and Microsoft Office while supporting additional tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service focus with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in time‑critical situations.
• Sound knowledge of legislation, compliance requirements and authorities affecting freight operations.
• High business acumen, cost awareness, numeracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Relevant industry experience; dangerous‑goods knowledge is advantageous.
