Freelance Designer

About the role

Archetype is looking for an early‑career Freelance Designer to join its Creative Team on a project or part‑time basis. You will work alongside senior designers and creatives across PR, social, digital and integrated campaigns, turning ideas into visual assets that support client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and adapt visual assets for campaigns, including social posts, simple digital ads, presentation decks, reports and basic web or email visuals.
• Translate creative briefs into on‑brand layout options and explore variations as needed.
• Support motion‑design tasks for social assets (animations, reels, story formats) under senior guidance.
• Prepare, organise and tidy design files for internal reviews and client presentations.
• Resize, reformat and localise existing assets for different markets and platforms.
• Collaborate with account and PR teams to create simple infographics, micro‑graphics and data visualisations.
• Apply and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in colour, typography, hierarchy and spacing.
• Respond to feedback positively, iterating quickly while maintaining high quality.

Required profile

• Early‑career designer eager to grow a portfolio with real client work.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and curious about how design fits within brand and marketing.
• Comfortable working with creative direction, open to feedback and motivated to improve with each revision.
• Ability to see projects move from brief to concept to execution in a fast‑moving agency environment.
