Forward Deployed Software Engineer

About the role

Palantir is seeking Forward Deployed Software Engineers to work directly with government customers in Australia. You will translate complex data challenges into actionable solutions, collaborating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand high‑impact problems and design data‑driven solutions.
• Develop end‑to‑end features, including large‑scale data pipelines, custom web applications, and cloud infrastructure.
• Communicate architecture decisions, present prototypes to executives, and iterate based on feedback.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
• Ability to work autonomously, travel to client sites (25‑50% of the time), and adapt to rapidly changing objectives.

Required skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with large‑scale data processing, storage systems, and cloud platforms.
