Food & Toy Coordinator - Christmas Program

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is recruiting a Food & Toy Coordinator for its Toys 'n' Tucker Christmas program, based at the Minchinbury warehouse. On a 6-week contract from 2 November to 18 December, you will coordinate the sorting, packing and preparation of donated food and toys into hampers and gift parcels for families experiencing financial hardship, working closely with the Warehouse Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily sorting and packing of donated food and toys, ensuring operations run smoothly.
• Support, guide and supervise volunteers, giving clear instructions, inductions and ongoing communication.
• Create an organised, welcoming and safe environment for volunteers.
• Sort, check and prioritise food donations according to expiry dates to maintain quality standards.
• Promote a positive, safe and inclusive environment, including delivering workplace safety briefings when required.

Required profile

• Organised, practical and compassionate, able to thrive in a busy, hands-on environment.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Preferred: previous experience supervising, training or coordinating volunteers.
• Preferred: experience in warehouse operations, stock handling, food donations or community programs, and supporting seasonal campaigns or high-volume distribution.
