Food Services Assistant

About the role

Portland District Health is looking for a Food Services Assistant to join its Food Services team in Portland. The role is an ongoing part-time position of at least 16 hours per fortnight, in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment. You will serve patients, visitors and staff with exceptional customer service while helping to plate meals according to meal services.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake duties in a professional and efficient way in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Follow the Food Services Team's food safety plan, Healthy Choices and strict dietary requirements.
• Assist with plating meals per meal services.

Required profile

• Food Handling Certificate.
• Previous experience providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work under routine supervision, either autonomously or in a team.
• Eligible for and willing to undergo a police record check or NDIS worker screening check, provide evidence of right to work in Australia and hold current immunisation status in line with the district's immunisation policy.
