Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo is looking for enthusiastic Food and Beverage Attendants to support its hospitality operations across several venues, including two cafés, an events centre, the Zoofari Lodge restaurant and the new Serengeti Resort. This is a part-time role of approximately 15-25 hours per week, with full training provided and no experience needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service to zoo guests
• Prepare and serve food and beverages
• Set up cafés, restaurants and event spaces for service
• Take orders using the POS system and process EFTPOS and cash payments
• Clear tables, wash dishes and keep work areas clean

Required profile

• Available for a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays and school holidays
• Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not essential
• Willingness to learn; barista experience is a bonus
• Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and special events
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate held or willing to obtain
• Current NSW Working With Children Check, or willing to obtain one
• Driver's licence desirable but not essential
