Food and Beverage Attendant

About the role

As a Food & Beverage Attendant at Mantra South Bank, you will be the first point of contact for guests, guiding them through the culinary experience at OVELLO Bar & Kitchen. Your role is to create memorable moments by recommending dishes and beverages and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Create a friendly environment that turns each guest interaction into a lasting memory.
• Handle challenges positively, turning obstacles into opportunities.
• Provide personalized food and beverage suggestions and upsell to enhance the guest experience.
• Continuously expand product knowledge to improve recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with guests and team members to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain and meticulously set up service areas before and after shifts.

Required profile

• Proven customer‑service experience in the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage protocols, including table service, beverage service, event service and coffee preparation.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid RSA (or equivalent) certification for the relevant jurisdiction.
• Passion for engaging with guests and collaborating within a diverse team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
• Coffee crafting skills.
