Flight Nurse – Port Augusta

About the role

The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia/Northern Territory is seeking a dedicated Flight Nurse to join its aeromedical team in Port Augusta. You will provide emergency retrieval and inter‑facility transport nursing care to patients across remote and regional South Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency and critical care during aeromedical retrieval missions.
• Provide nursing care for inter‑facility transports, ensuring patient safety and clinical stability.
• Collaborate with pilots, doctors, and other health professionals in a fast‑paced, variable environment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to aviation safety protocols.

Required profile

• AHPRA‑registered Registered Nurse.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing and/or Intensive Care Nursing.
• Minimum three years of post‑graduate experience in a tertiary hospital setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing conditions.
