Fixed-Wing Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B2)

About the role

Join Queensland Government Air’s engineering team at the Brisbane Fixed‑Wing base as a Fixed‑Wing Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B2). You will be responsible for maintaining the fleet to the highest safety and airworthiness standards, supporting both routine operations and emergency response missions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on QPS aircraft in compliance with CASA regulations and company procedures.
• Monitor, record and report safety issues, ensuring all aircraft documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Supervise subcontracted maintenance personnel and provide engineering support to other bases as required.
• Train and certify pilots on maintenance and equipment functions.
• Assist the Engineering Manager with financial and administrative management of base engineering activities.
• Participate in emergency and disaster response operations when needed.

Required profile

• Current CASA Avionics B2 Part 66 licence.
• Desirable B300 type rating and a Category C Part 66 licence.
• Experience using Gannet or a comparable Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in a high‑performance aviation environment.
