Financial Operations Analyst

About the role

ALDI Australia is hiring a Financial Operations Analyst within its Financial Accounting team, based in Minchinbury. It is a full-time permanent position in a high-performing, results-driven team focused on process, diligence and accuracy. You will analyse inventory data and financial transactions to provide insights for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and resolve variances or irregularities across transactional data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Troubleshoot and investigate discrepancies by liaising with stakeholders to reach solutions in a timely manner.
• Perform month-end accounting activities, including clearing adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement enhancements to strengthen accuracy and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on executing new financial processes.
• Prepare financial and ad hoc reporting and analyses.

Required profile

• Previous experience in business, accounting or related fields.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at various levels.
• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and systems, with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience with Inventory Costing (MAP) is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Demonstrated experience using SAP to process, maintain and manage data with attention to detail and data integrity.
• Month-end accounting, balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting.
