Financial Controller (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Financial Controller (3‑4 days per week) to own day‑to‑day finance operations, month‑end close and financial reporting for our growing payments business. You will lead a small finance team, ensure accurate reporting across AU/NZ and US entities, and drive the migration from Xero to NetSuite.

Key responsibilities

• Month‑End Close & Reporting: manage full close process, produce consolidated financials, perform variance analysis and prepare management reporting packs for the CFO.
• Team Leadership: lead and develop the accounts team, oversee invoices, GL entries and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• NetSuite Migration: spearhead the transition from Xero to NetSuite, ensuring technical setup, data integrity and long‑term system efficiency.
• Governance & Controls: maintain balance‑sheet integrity, oversee reconciliations, revenue recognition, accounting standards compliance, and lead external audit and internal controls.
• Cash, Payroll & Working Capital: monitor group liquidity, supervise payroll processing and manage working‑capital metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance operations, month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small finance team.
• Experience managing system migrations, preferably from Xero to NetSuite.
• Strong knowledge of governance, controls and audit processes.
• High level of autonomy, integrity and attention to detail.
