Financial Controller – Lead Finance Team in Brisbane

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing, PE‑backed business in Newstead, Brisbane. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a team of four finance professionals, own the end‑to‑end financial reporting process and contribute to strategic decisions as the company expands.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial reporting, consolidations and statutory compliance.
• Ensure audit readiness, financial controls and governance.
• Manage cash flow reporting and coordinate with tax advisors.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Partner with stakeholders on acquisitions, financing activities and ERP implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement projects across the finance function.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager.
• Strong technical accounting background, preferably with Big‑4 audit or complex commercial finance exposure.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑development capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Ambition to progress to senior finance leadership.
