Financial Controller

About the role

This is a hands‑on Financial Controller position within a privately owned growth business in Western Sydney. You will own the finance function, rebuild its structure, and drive automation and insight‑focused reporting to support the company’s expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, management reporting, commentary and analysis.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow and working‑capital management.
• Improve finance systems, automation, controls and data quality.
• Coach and develop a small finance team.
• Partner with senior leadership on performance, growth decisions and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA/CA qualified or equivalent senior finance experience.
• Background as a Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager.
• Strong experience in service‑based, project or multi‑site environments (preferred).
• Commercial mindset, hands‑on attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving SME culture.
