Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance and lead financial control, reporting, compliance and governance across the group. This hands‑on position is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Manage financial controls, compliance, governance and audit activities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Provide commercial insights across projects and business units.
• Support strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions and integration.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Mentor and develop finance team capability.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader in project‑based, contracting, infrastructure, construction or services environments.
• Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting capability.
• Experience partnering with operational stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision‑making.
• Exposure to growth, transformation or acquisition environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, hands‑on leadership style.
